What is the difference between a tank truck and an oil tank truck?
Oil tank trucks belong to liquid tank trucks, but there are many types of liquid tank trucks. Compared with non-hazardous goods transport tank trucks, that is, liquid supply trucks, the main differences between the two are:
1. Appearance difference
The difference is not big, that is, the tank truck is affixed with a Class 3 hazardous label for hazardous goods; while the liquid supply truck is not.
2. Chassis difference
The tank truck uses a hazardous chemical chassis, with additional configurations such as front disc and rear drum, front exhaust pipe, suspended rear axle, satellite security system, etc.; while the liquid supply truck uses a conventional general cargo chassis.
3. Functional difference
The tank truck needs to be installed with a refueling pump, speed limiter, bottom oil, seabed valve, a set of European standard series, etc., as well as the factory-equipped electrostatic belt, triangular warning light, fire extinguisher and other accessories for hazardous goods transport trucks; while the liquid supply truck is installed with a professional chemical acid-resistant pump, and other accessories are relatively simple.
