Types of Liquid Cooling Pumps:

There are many types of liquid cooling pumps. Depending on the different ways of pushing the liquid flow, there are several types of liquid cooling pumps:

1) Centrifugal Pumps:

Centrifugal pumps generate centrifugal force through the rotation of the impeller, sucking the liquid out of the center and ejecting it outward, thereby achieving liquid circulation and heat dissipation. Centrifugal pumps are particularly suitable for liquid cooling systems that require large flow and low head, such as data center server cooling

2) Plunger Pumps:

The plunger pump compresses and pumps the liquid through the up and down or forward and backward movement of the plunger, which can solve some application requirements that centrifugal pumps cannot meet. Plunger pumps are suitable for liquid cooling systems that require higher pressure or larger flow, but they are larger in size, noisier, and have relatively higher maintenance costs

3) Screw Pumps:

Screw pumps use the meshing of the screw to push the liquid forward. The flow rate is controlled by the screw speed and can meet different flow requirements. Screw pumps are particularly suitable for liquid cooling systems that require stable flow and pressure, such as high-precision temperature control equipment

4) Gear Pumps:

Gear pumps are volumetric pumps that transport liquids through the meshing and rotation of gears. Gear pumps are suitable for conveying liquids with higher viscosity, such as lubricating oil. In liquid cooling systems, gear pumps can be used to cool liquid circulation under certain circumstances

5) Diaphragm pumps

Diaphragm pumps convey liquids through the reciprocating motion of the diaphragm, and have the advantages of no leakage, corrosion resistance, and easy maintenance. Diaphragm pumps have advantages in liquid cooling systems that need to prevent liquid leakage or convey corrosive liquids
