Roots gas meter, also known as gas waist wheel gas meter, has a metering chamber in the shell. There are one or two pairs of waist wheels that can rotate tangentially in the metering chamber. A pair of driving gears are coaxially installed with the two waist wheels outside the flowmeter shell. They mesh with each other so that the two waist wheels can interact with each other, so as to obtain a gas meter for metering.
Roots gas meters are mainly used for high-precision metering instruments for continuous or
intermittent measurement of gas flow in pipelines. It has the characteristics of high precision, good
reliability, light weight, long life, low operating noise, easy installation and use, etc.
Working Principle
Roots gas meter is mainly composed of shell, conjugate rotor, counting device and other components. A pair of conjugate rotors installed in the metering chamber maintain the correct relative position of the rotor through the precision machined adjustment gear under the action of the inlet and outlet pressure difference of the circulating gas. The best working clearance is maintained between rotors, between rotor and shell, and between rotor and wall panel, so as to realize continuous non-contact sealing. Every time the rotor rotates for one cycle, the gas four times the effective volume of the metering chamber is output. The number of revolutions of the rotor is transmitted to the accumulation indication counter through the magnetic sealing coupling device and deceleration mechanism, so as to display the cumulative volume of the output gas.
